DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to the relocation of US 18 in the McGregor/Marquette area in 1989, the present description of US 18 in Clayton County should be deleted and changed to include the relocated portion of US 18.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended to approve deleting the present road system and approve including the attached new description of US 18 in the Primary Road System.

 

New description - US 18 and its extensions in Clayton County described as follows:

 

Beginning on the Clayton-Fayette County Line at a point approximately 1,500 feet south of the NW Corner Section 7-T96N-R6W Clayton County (NE Corner Section 12-T95N-R7W Fayette County); thence north along the Clayton-Fayette County Line following substantially the section line of Sections 7 and 6-T95N-R6W; to a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 6-T95N-R6W Clayton County (E ¼ Corner Section 1-T95N-R7W, Fayette County); thence in a northeasterly direction through said Section 6 to the Clayton-Allamakee County Line at a point approximately ¼ mile east of the NW Corner Section 6-T95N-R6W Clayton County (SW Corner Section 31-T96N-R6W, Allamakee County).
